Boardmasters 2023: The highlights in pictures

Animal team riders, Logan Nicol and Sam Hearn remain firm friends and true sportsmen despite having to compete against one another in the same heat. The Animal Pro is part of the prestigious World Surf League’s (WSL) European Qualifying Series tour, which took place from 9th-13t August in Newquay Cornwall and included some of the world’s most talented surfers.
Logan showed us his enviable surf skills in round 16 of the competition.
Yolanda Hopkins, from Portugal, and Kai Odriozola, from Spain, were crowned the winners of the Animal Pro 2023 Women’s and Men’s.
Animal Surf Ambassador, Emily Currie finished in second place in the Longboard Pro 2023, which is part of Qualifying Series (LQS) 1,000.
Emily’s family and friends were there to support her throughout the competition.
